CASE STUDY

U.S. POST OFFICE

Public Sector, Distributed Antenna System (DAS)

The historic U.S. Post Office located on Market Street in downtown St. Louis was constructed between 1935 and 1937 and continues to serve as a post office for the city. While the facility is an impressive St. Louis historical building, it posed a problem for modern times: no cell phone service for guests and employees.

TriStar Electric resolved the problem by installing approximately 30,000 linear feet of stranded and non-armored fiber throughout four floors of the building. The job also required our team to splice more than 2,000 fiber pigtails. The extensive nature of the job required the type of extreme patience, attention to detail and super-human problem solving the TriStar team is known for.
